The People Manager is in charge of setting up the systems and leading a team to manage the various people functions of Bukas, including HR operations, compensation, recruitment, engagement, culture, and learning & development.
The role is a unique opportunity to build a foundation for talent development in a fast-growing mission-driven startup.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage a team of HR professionals to maintain a strong, mission-driven company culture
Plan, implement and monitor best-in-class HR and labor policies, practices and services (e.g. hiring, separation, training and development),
Lead and develop organization development initiatives (structures, business processes, transfers of key people etc.), performance management, and compensation and benefits.
Shape the learning and development paths of individuals in the Bukas organization
Identify legal requirements and regulations affecting human resources functions
Acts as primary contact with legal counsel and outside government and national agencies for HR and labor related matters
What We’re Looking For
Experienced professional in HR and talent development: You have 6-10 years of human resource experience; with startup or SME experience being a plus.
Shows high integrity. You will be handling and maintaining complete confidentiality of all HR-related information;
Highly organized. We are scaling fast, and we need someone that can prioritize multiple functions and tasks while managing their work time efficiently;
Strong interpersonal skills. We need a people champion, someone that is able to resolve conflicts well, empathize with people and balance employees’ and company’s needs;
Team player and communicator. You are able to work with a cross-functional, multi-country team from diverse backgrounds with a strong written and verbal communication skills;
