- What is the COVID Waive of Late Payments?
If your deadline is during the extended enhanced community quarantine period and you are unable to avail of our online payment options or are unable to pay for any other reason during this time, we can waive any late penalty that is incurred for any due date between April 16- April 30, 2020 provided that you follow the steps mentioned below to request for a waive of late penalty fees.
- How do I request to waive my late payment fee?
You have to email [email protected] with the email address tied to your Bukas account. The email should have the subject ‘Request to Waive Late Penalty’ and should contain the following details:
a. Student’s Complete Name and Mobile Number
c.Guardian’s Complete Name and Mobile Number
d.Your scheduled due date
e. Your official request
- When will you waive my late payment fee?
We can only process the waiving of late payment fee after our system recognizes your payment. That is, we can only waive after your payment has been made. So when you are able to pay, kindly send over the proof of payment to [email protected] so we can process your request to waive the late fee.
If you are paying via UnionBank or Bayad Center you can pay the monthly due alone. If you are paying via DragonPay, since it can only accommodate full monthly payments, the excess amount you pay out because of the late fee will be credited to your next monthly due after we waive the current late payment fee.
- I have more than one Bukas Installment Plan, can I request to waive the late penalty fee for both plans?
Yes you may, provided that you follow the instructions mentioned in Question 2 (see above). Please specify the 2 reference codes for your loans in 1 email.
- When will I be notified that my request is approved?
Once you are able to pay, kindly send over the proof of payment to [email protected] so we can process your request to waive the late fee. Once we've replied that the waiving of late penalty fee is successful, please wait 1-2 business days for it to reflect in your payment dashboard.
