Founded on February 12, 2003, the feast day of St. Bernadette, SBLC was started by a family of professionals who did not only have a passion for healthcare but also the credentials to back it up. Two decades later, SBLC has grown its expertise from training aspiring nurses to equipping healthcare professionals and related fields. Now adding to its milestones, SBLC has partnered with Bukas to give students more options and opportunities to fund their studies—and eventually their dreams. Here’s how.

Flexible curriculum, flexible payments

Not only do SBLCians enjoy a flexible curriculum that fits their schedule through its LIFE Program (Learners’ Independent Flexible Education), this newly-launched partnership with the College also introduces a more flexible payment option for students through the Bukas tuition installment plans.

With Bukas as its third-party financing partner, all current and incoming students of SBLC can now avail of a tuition installment plan to pay for their studies from first year until graduation. This includes SBLCians from all year levels, regardless of degree and GPA status. Even students with scholarships or financial assistance are welcome to apply!

What is Bukas?

Bukas is an education financing company that provides affordable and secure tuition plans to Filipinos who are in college, graduate school, or specialized learning institutions. With the vision of building a better tomorrow for Filipino youths through quality, accessible education, Bukas works closely with top colleges and universities across the country to provide students with more options to finance their studies through its integrated tuition installment plan.

What is a Bukas tuition installment plan?

A Bukas tuition installment plan, or simply a student loan, is a safe, secure, and flexible way to pay for your tuition. As a bonafide student at SBLC, whether current or incoming, you are eligible to apply for a tuition installment plan. This means that Bukas can cover up to 100% of your tuition for the semester while you pay back the approved tuition amount in low and affordable monthly installments.

Take note that every installment plan comes with interest starting at 1.98% per month, and a one-time service fee that starts at 5%.

How does the Bukas tuition installment plan work?

When you apply and get approved for an installment plan, Bukas will pay your tuition directly to SBLC. You will then have to pay your Bukas dues every month through our online and over-the-counter payment partners.

For example, if you need Php 20,000 for your tuition next semester, you can get an installment plan from Bukas and pay as low as Php 2,146 every month for 12 months instead of paying your tuition in lump sum. This sample computation is based on a tuition plan with a 1.98% monthly interest and a one-time 5% service fee.

Should you want to pay off your tuition plan earlier than 12 months, you can choose from shorter plans that are payable within 3, 6 or 9 months. Since Bukas only charges interest for the months you consume your student loan, a shorter plan means bigger savings for you. Your studies, your choice!

What are the requirements to apply for a Bukas tuition installment plan?

Thinking of getting a Bukas tuition installment plan for your next semester at SBLC? Make sure you meet all of the following requirements:

1. You must be successfully enrolled in a program at SBLC;
2. You have a source of income. This can be yours, your co-borrower’s, or both; and
3. You and your co-borrower must be Filipino citizens and at least 18 years old.

How can SBLC students apply for a tuition installment plan?

Here at Bukas, we are a firm believer of making education affordable… and accessible. That’s why the whole application process is fully online! To apply for a tuition installment plan, just prepare correct, accurate, and complete documents for a smooth and hassle-free process then follow these three simple steps:

Step 1: Create your account at https://app.bukas.ph

Step 2: Fill-out the application form. Upload all your documents.

Step 3: Submit your application. Wait for feedback and approval within 3-5 working days.

Once your application is approved, remember to confirm your tuition plan agreement through your Bukas account. When confirmed, Bukas will then disburse your approved tuition amount directly to SBLC. After that, you can start attending your classes at SBLC and start repaying your monthly dues to Bukas through our official payment partners.
