What is a Bukas Gadget Loan?

Ang Bukas Gadget Loan ay isang alternative payment option para sa existing Bukas borrowers kung saan pwede nang gawing hulugan kada buwan ang pagbabayad sa isang gadget for up to 12 months. With Bukas, pasok na sa budget ang gadget mo!

NOTE: Every Bukas Gadget Loan comes with a fixed monthly interest rate and a one-time service fee. Please carefully read your Disclosure Statement before proceeding with your loan application.

Who can apply for a Bukas Gadget Loan?

Currently, the Bukas Gadget Loan is available to select Bukas borrowers within Metro Manila. Don’t worry! Once you are eligible, we will notify you through email and SMS.

NOTE: Eligibility to the offer may change without prior notice. We suggest for pre-qualified students to apply as soon as possible to avail of the offer.

What are the requirements to be eligible for a Bukas Gadget Loan?

1. Must be a Filipino citizen with a valid government-issued ID
2. Must be currently enrolled in a Bukas partner school*
3. Must have a verified Bukas profile
4. Must be a borrower with an active or past Bukas student loan
5. Must have a good repayment behavior

*Currently available to select Bukas partner schools within Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Rizal.

How to apply for a Bukas Gadget Loan?

STEP 1: Log in to your Bukas account

Click the “Gadget Loan” banner that can be found on your account’s home page.

STEP 2: Choose gadget and partner store

Choose your preferred gadget and partner store. Your chosen store will serve as the pick-up location once your gadget loan is approved.

STEP 3: Fill out application form

Similar to the Bukas Flex application process, kindly provide your personal information and educational details to proceed with your loan.

STEP 4: Submit the required documents

Once your gadget loan has been pre-approved, you can now submit additional documents that are necessary to evaluate your application.

STEP 5: Confirm loan agreement

Once approved, you and your co-borrower should sign the agreement found in your Bukas account. Upon confirmation, kindly check your email for instructions from the Bukas team on how to claim your gadget. Conditions apply.

NOTE: Your Bukas Gadget Loan can cover up to 70% of your gadget’s total amount. Before applying for a loan, make sure you are able to settle the remaining balance (30%). Note that you can only claim your gadget once down payment has been fully paid to the partner store.

I’m a teacher from a Bukas partner school, can I avail of a Bukas Gadget Loan?

Yes, you can! As long as you are employed as a faculty member in one of our partner schools, pwede kang mag-apply for a Bukas Gadget Loan. To pre-apply, please fill out this form.

NOTE: Please take note of the following requirements upon application.

• College or university name: Choose the partner school you are currently employed with
• Student ID number: Please indicate your employee ID number as placeholder
• Student Assessment Form: Please submit your company ID or COE
• Proof of Employment: Faculty members must provide:
  • A valid faculty ID or proof of employment (e.g., employment certificate or contract).
  • Recent payslips

What is the maximum loan amount for the Bukas Gadget Loan?

Bukas can cover up to 70% of your gadget’s total amount and payable within 12 months. The remaining balance (30%) must be fully paid to the store before claiming the gadget.

What are the participating stores for the Bukas Gadget Loan?

You can get your brand new gadget from Switch and Power Mac Center, specifically from the following stores: Switch Glorietta and The Loop SM Makati.

What are the available devices I can choose from?

As of this writing, the Bukas Gadget Loan can cover partial payment to the following devices:

• MacBook Air: M1, M2, M3
• Macbook Air: 15-Inch Variant
• iPad: Gen 9 and 10
• iPad Mini: Gen 6
• iPad Air: Gen 5

NOTE: Your chosen gadget is subject to availability and may differ per branch. In case that your preferred model is out of stock, you will be put on waitlist and your selected partner store will reach out to you once its available. Total amount may also be adjusted based on the final invoice of the store.

How will I get the gadget?

For transparency and security, you can pick up your gadget in your preferred Bukas partner store. Pick-ups are to be scheduled in advance. A friendly reminder that settling your down payment to the store and signing your loan agreement with Bukas are required before claiming the gadget.

Can I have a representative pick up my device?

No. Only you and/or your co-borrower are allowed to pick up your gadget.

Can I close my loan early?

Yes, pwede! Like your Bukas Flex Plans, you can request to pre-terminate your Bukas Gadget Loan earlier than your original tenor without additional fees. This way, pwede kang makakuha ng rebates o cash back from interest rates.
