How to Pay Bukas Student Loan Via UnionBank

UnionBank offers convenient ways for Borrowers to pay their Bukas student loan monthly dues, either over-the-counter or through their mobile app.


Option 1: Over-the-Counter Payment

  1. Go to any UnionBank branch and ask for a BILLS PAYMENT SLIP.
  2. Write "Bukas Finance Corp." as the payment Company or Institution.
  3. Write the Borrower’s name as the Client Name.
  4. Write the Bukas Reference Code/Number as the Reference Code
  5. Write the monthly Loan amount due.


Option 2: Mobile App Payment

  1. Open and log in to the UnionBank app on a mobile phone.
  2. Select "Bukas Finance Corp." under the list of official billers.
  3. Place the Borrower’s name under the Name of Student.
  4. Place the Bukas Reference Code/Number as the Transaction Reference.
  5. Write the monthly loan amount due.
  6. Please review and ensure the details are correct before confirming payment.


Important Reminders

To safeguard accounts, Borrowers should only settle payments through our accredited payment partners. Always SELECT BUKAS AS BILLER through the preferred bill payment option and AVOID DIRECT BANK TRANSFERS to ensure payment is credited successfully.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much is the transaction fee if I pay using UnionBank?
    • UnionBank does not charge transaction fees for both Over-the-Counter and Mobile App transactions.

  • How long will it take for my payment to reflect?
    • If using the UnionBank Mobile App, payment should reflect immediately in recent transactions. Separately, an SMS will be received once payment reflects in our system, which typically takes about 1-3 working days (excluding weekends and holidays). Borrowers can also log in to their Bukas account to check their payment dashboard.

  • Can I pay using UnionBank even if I don't have an account?
    • Yes! Borrowers may use the UnionBank Over-the-Counter option. Kindly keep the deposit slip as proof of payment in case of any payment concerns.

Additional Reminders

  • The Bukas Reference Code/Number is alphanumeric; the first three (3) characters are letters, and the succeeding seven (7) characters are numbers. Please ensure it is written legibly for correct payment processing.
  • If a due date falls on a weekend or a holiday, please pay for the loan plan before the due date. Late payments will incur a late payment fee amounting to 5% of the unpaid amount.
  • If payment was made on time but does not reflect on the payment dashboard after 2-3 working days, an SMS will be received once it appears. There is no need to send a screenshot of the payment slip; Borrowers can simply check their dashboard.
