MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Bukas celebrates its sixth year anniversary with the launch of its latest brand film entitled, “Classroom ng mga Walang Hiyang Estudyante.” The video is part of a series that emphasizes the bigger role of Bukas in the lives of the students. “More than just a loan,” the student-first brand serves as a partner, a helper, a lifeline, an alternative/flexible payment option, even a blessing (and the list goes on) to students and parents nationwide who dream of a better tomorrow, starting with their studies.
A Seat For Every Type of Student
Bukas’ latest brand video comes three years after the “Ang Bukas Mo, Sigurado” film. While the latter showcases Bukas’ role in securing students’ futures through covering tuition and other fees, the newest ad draws its strength from the lives of the students themselves—the Walang Hiyang Estudyante, the students who are unashamed (“walang hiya”) to do whatever it takes to get to school and create their own path.
The core message is consistent with the success of Walang Hiyang Estudyante Awards 2024, the student awards’ sophomore year where Bukas continues to put the spotlight on students and their unwavering determination, grit, and hard work to keep going in their studies amidst challenges. The video follows the stories of different Filipino students and their unique journeys, specifically highlighting the realities of being a working student, a scholar, a student parent, a transferee, and a working student.
To know that these students exist is one thing but to know that they might be sitting next to you in class is another. It aims to give people a better appreciation that every seat has a story to tell, and that better access to education allows more stories like these to be heard and told.
