What is a guardian?

A guardian is a person who is at least 21 years old and can serve as your emergency contact person. For your application, pwede mong ilagay na guardian ang magulang, kapatid, or close relative mo. Your guardian can also be a guarantor if he or she can help you with your monthly repayments.

We encourage that you choose someone who lives with you or has the same address as you. If not possible, pwede kang pumili ng ibang guardian as long as he/she has an address in the Philippines. This means an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) will not be allowed as your guardian.

You may be asked to provide your guardian's ID before you can apply for a tuition installment plan. You will see the list of valid IDs here.

To help you with your payment management, we will also be sending payment reminders to your guarantor and guardian, so be sure to keep us updated on their contact details!
